Every 3rd Saturday with Cecelia “CC” Clark
Donations go to PLACE for providing a space for Swap-o_Rama-Rama!

Swap-O-Rama-Rama is the world’s largest volunteer produced clothing swap and DIY sewing workshops that teach participants, on every continent except Antarctica, how to extend the usefulness of their textile goods and forestalling entering the waste stream by repurposing, upcycling or just plain o’ repairing.

Swap-O-Rama-Rama has gathered for the grand-daddy of all clothing swaps at Maker Faires in San Mateo to repurpose 4000 lbs of textiles in 2 days. This MeetUp group is a way to keep spreading our mission year-round by teaching the community how to creatively reduce textile waste, recruit new volunteers and enjoy each others company and wisdom while helping the planet.

HOW IT WORKS:

Bring a bag of your CLEAN unwanted clothes for FREE entry or $5 and a bag to take your new found (or made) treasures home, a snack to share and a creative need to make a difference. (No one is turned away for lack of funds). Sewing machines, experienced coaches and inspiration provided.
